EAM Jaishankar Presents India's Stance On The Iran-Israel US War In Rajya Sabha

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday told the Rajya Sabha that the interest of the Indian consumer would remain the government’s “overriding priority” amid the escalating conflict in West Asia, warning that the crisis could trigger "serious supply chain disruption."

Making a statement in the House amid sloganeering by opposition MPs, Jaishankar said the conflict in the region had intensified in recent days, raising concerns over energy supplies, shipping routes and global trade flows. He said the government was closely monitoring the evolving situation and assessing its potential impact on India’s economy and supply chains.
