‘Eradicating Terrorism At Its Roots’: Rajnath Singh Cites Op Sindoor, Seeks Stronger Defence Ties

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took a firm stand against state-sponsored terrorism while addressing the ADMM-Plus forum on Thursday in Cebu, Philippines. He said India reiterates its commitment to enhancing security in the region and eradicating terrorism at its roots. He also stated that India’s experience in counter-terrorism is not limited to classroom learning or theoretical knowledge, but has been gained through decades of confronting cross-border security challenges on the ground.

He affirmed that every strategy India employs against terrorism has been tested and proven effective in real-world operations. Citing Operation Sindoor, which he said took place last year, Singh said India destroyed a large number of terrorist infrastructure sites, and called it a clear declaration of India’s stance against state-sponsored terrorism.
