Video: GPS-Tracked Seagull Found Near INS Kadamba in Karwar

A migratory seagull fitted with a GPS tracker was spotted behind Thimmakka Garden near the INS Kadamba naval base in Karwar, Uttara Kannada. Locals informed the Forest Department’s Marine Wing, which captured the bird and found that the tracker is linked to China’s Academy of Sciences Eco-Environmental Research Center.

While such trackers are used to monitor bird migration, the location near the naval base has raised concerns. Forest teams are contacting the Chinese academy for more information and are continuing to monitor the seagull.
