Gym Trainer Shot Dead In Broad Daylight, 15 Bullets Fired In Aya Nagar
A 28-year-old gym trainer, identified as Vijay, was shot dead in broad daylight in south Delhi's Fatehpur Beri area on Monday morning. The shocking incident took place around 10 am in Aya Nagar village, when two bike-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at him, with around 15 rounds fired in the area.
According to police, the attackers arrived on a motorcycle, wearing helmets and masks to conceal their identities. The victim was reportedly called outside the gym before being shot multiple times at close range. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack, sending panic through the neighborhood as residents scrambled for safety.
Senior police officers rushed to the spot soon after the incident was reported. Investigators suspect the shooting may be linked to a personal rivalry, though a detailed probe is currently underway to establish the exact motive. Police teams are collecting evidence from the crime scene, questioning potential witnesses, and scanning CCTV footage in the area to identify the two attackers.
Adding to the concern, this is not the first such incident in the locality, with a similar firing reportedly having taken place in the same area a few months ago. To prevent further escalation and maintain law and order, security personnel have been deployed across Aya Nagar village.
The victim's family, including his wife and young children, are devastated by the sudden loss. Investigators continue their search for the assailants as the case unfolds.
