India-US Trade Deal: 'Big Win For Democracy,' PM Narendra Modi On Historic Trade Deal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday at the NDA party meet credited strategic persistence for the successful finalisation of India’s major trade deal with the US.

PM pointed out that while the government previously faced backlash over difficult tariff negotiations, their steady approach eventually secured a favorable result.

PM Modi, addressing the meet further, emphasised that the new trade agreement has fostered a thriving economic climate and serves as a testament to the government’s calm, consistent, and strategic approach to complex international negotiations. The PM further added that the deal marks a big win for diplomacy and has further created a positive environment.

Heaping praise on the historic trade deal, PM further added that the world order is changing in India's favour after the announcement of the deal.

The Prime Minister highlighted that despite the initial backlash over tariff policies, the government’s decision to stay the course has been validated by the tangible success now being achieved. He noted that by prioritizing long-term patience over reacting to immediate criticism, they have secured a outcome that is now clearly evident to everyone.
