Indian Army Trains Locals to Counter Terror Threats in Doda and Kishtwar

The Indian Army’s 26 Rashtriya Rifles has intensified security measures in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district by training hundreds of Village Defence Group members. The training programme, conducted at Gandoh, focuses on weapon handling and tactical drills.

The initiative comes amid alerts of 30 to 35 Pakistani terrorists believed to be active in the Doda-Kishtwar region. Local residents are being prepared to strengthen defensive efforts in areas identified as terror hotspots.
