Video: Luthra Brothers Nabbed In Thailand, To Be Dragged Back To India

The Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub's co-owners, the Luthra brothers Gaurav and Saurabh, have been arrested by Royal Thai Police in Kathu, Thailand. They are wanted in relation to the devastating fire at their Goa club on December 6, which killed 25 people because of blocked exits. Co-owner Ajay Gupta was previously detained in Delhi. The brothers were able to blend in while on the run thanks to Kathu's proximity to Patong and Phuket. Using an existing extradition pact, Thai and Indian authorities are organizing their deportation. High-level talks on victim compensation, safety improvements, and quick investigation completion are being held by Goa officials, including Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. The report is due in eight days.
