‘Men Attacked With Slippers’: Cong Leader Mamta Chaudhary Alleges Assault by Ajay Rai’s Associates

Congress leader Mamta Chaudhary alleged that she and other Mahila Congress workers were verbally abused and physically assaulted by associates of former UP Congress chief Ajay Rai during an event to welcome Aradhana Misra-Mona.

Chaudhary said she was standing with women workers when Rai suddenly shouted at her to 'stay within your limits,' after which his supporters allegedly attacked the women, brandishing slippers and shoes.

She denied making any remarks against Rai, called the incident an attack on Dalit women rather than a factional clash, and said the Mahila Congress will complain to Rahul Gandhi.
