Namo For Viksit Bharat: Ashwini Vaishnaw Announces India’s Bullet Train Testing Timeline

At the ‘NaMo For Viksit Bharat’ event, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted India’s rapidly modernising railway network and shared a major update on the country’s indigenous bullet train. Vaishnaw said the first body frame has been completed and sent for testing, with trials expected to begin by May-June next year.

Vaishnaw also spoke about major railway infrastructure projects, new train and wagon designs and the government’s push towards a modern, self-reliant railway system. He said the Surat-Vapi section of the bullet train project is targeted for completion by December this year.
