The operation was triggered by intelligence gathered following the arrest of Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather, leading to the recovery of approximately 350 kilograms of explosives, two AK-47 rifles, and a substantial quantity of ammunition from Faridabad in Haryana. Additionally, an AK-47 rifle along with ammunition was seized from a locker associated with Dr. Adil in the Kashmir Valley.
