Former Indian diplomat KP Fabian warned that Mojtaba’s appointment makes the US-Israel-Iran war far more dangerous and unwinnable for Trump. Fabian argued that Mojtaba is less pragmatic than his father and more ideologically driven, likely to escalate resistance rather than seek compromise. He described the conflict as entering a prolonged, attritional phase where Iran will bleed US resources through asymmetric warfare, proxies, and regional alliances, while Trump has entered a war he cannot decisively win without massive ground commitment, something politically impossible.
