Abhay Singh, widely known as "IIT Baba" was detained on Monday in Jaipur for possessing ganja (marijuana). He was later granted bail. A case has been registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. An IIT Bombay graduate, Singh gained popularity at the Maha Kumbh , where he claimed to have embarked on a “spiritual journey in search of truth.” According to reports, IIT Baba was released after a brief detention as the quantity of ganja found on him was within the permissible limit. Abhay Singh has also confirmed that a case has been filed against him.
