Bangladesh Protests: Pakistan Backs Dhaka As India Rages Over Hindu Man Lynching

Islamabad has been drawn into the dispute by Kamran Saeed Usmani, the young leader of Pakistan's ruling party, who has promised Dhaka armed support in the event that India threatens its independence. Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Bangladesh's finance advisor, emphasized that the interim administration led by Muhammad Yunus places a higher priority on economic stability and improved ties with India. 

Following the brutal lynching of Hindu man Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district, where he was attacked and set on fire by a mob, tensions are rising on multiple fronts. Amid allegations of increasing anti-Hindu violence in Dhaka, India has sparked massive protests calling for justice in a number of locations.
