In a heartwarming and adorable twist of fate, Kerala farmer Peter Lenu has discovered that his farm is home to the world’s shortest living goat. At only 1 foot 3 inches tall, Karumbi, a tiny black female pygmy goat, has broken records and hearts all over the world.

Living in the picturesque countryside of Kerala, Peter had always been used to his playful pygmy goats running up to him for attention. But it wasn’t until a guest pointed out how small they were that Peter realized he might have a record-breaking animal right under his nose.

At just four years old, Karumbi is a Canadian Pygmy goat, known for their stocky bodies and genetic dwarfism, which prevents them from growing taller than 21 inches (53 cm). But Karumbi stands out  at only 1 foot (40.5 cm) tall, she is officially the shortest living goat in the world.

Her tiny size doesn’t stop her from being the most playful animal on the farm. Karumbi, the goat loves to interact with the other goats, including her three male goats, nine females, and 10 kids. She also shares her home with cows, rabbits, hens, and ducks.

What’s even more exciting?

Karumbi is pregnant! The world’s tiniest goat is about to become a mother again, and Peter couldn’t be more thrilled about expanding his tiny farm family. After hearing from a guest about the possibility of Karumbi earning a Guinness World Record, Peter took her to the vet for measurements, and Karumbi passed the test.

Peter says it would be an immense honor for him, and for farmers everywhere, to have Karumbi officially recognized as the world’s shortest goat. As he prepares for the arrival of Karumbi’s new baby, he promises to continue giving her all the love and care she deserves.
