Trump Announces A Whole Civilization Will Die Tonight, Iran Says 14 Million Ready To Sacrifice For War
Amid rising US-Iran-Israel tensions, Donald Trump warns “a whole civilization will die tonight,” while Masoud Pezeshkian says 14 million Iranians are ready to sacrifice their lives for the nation.
Washington: Amid escalating tensions involving the United States, Iran, and Israel, US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social with a stark warning, posting: “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”
In response, Iran stepped up its public mobilisation. Authorities called on young people, including students, athletes, and artists, to gather and form human chains around power plants, calling them national assets that must be protected. Similar actions have been seen in the past during periods of high tension.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that millions are ready to defend the country, stating that 14 million people have already volunteered. A senior Revolutionary Guard official also urged families to send their children to man checkpoints, many of which have been repeatedly targeted in recent strikes. The strait remains critical for global trade, as nearly one-fifth of the world’s oil passes through it during peacetime.
In response, Iran stepped up its public mobilisation. Authorities referred to power plants as national assets that needed to be safeguarded and urged young people, including students, sports, and artists, to congregate and create human chains around them. In times of intense tension, similar behaviors have been observed in the past.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said that more than 14 million Iranians have declared their willingness to “sacrifice their lives” to defend the country. “More than 14 million brave Iranians have so far declared their readiness to sacrifice their lives to defend Iran. I have also sacrificed my life for Iran, I am and I will continue to do so,” he wrote on X.
In the meantime, the conflict continues to revolve around the Strait of Hormuz. Since the beginning of the conflict, Iran has imposed restrictions on travel across the route in response to the US and Israeli strikes on February 28. Oil prices have increased dramatically as a result of the disruption on a worldwide scale. Since the start of the crisis, Brent crude has risen dramatically to over $108 per barrel, which has an impact on global gasoline and food prices.
Backchannel diplomatic efforts continue despite the hostile posture. Iran has stated that it wants the conflict to end permanently and has rejected a suggestion for a temporary ceasefire.
Officials say indirect talks are continuing, with countries like Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey trying to mediate and find a last-minute solution before the deadline. Iran has reportedly linked reopening the Strait of Hormuz to relief from sanctions, while the US is said to be open to easing some restrictions, especially on Iran’s oil sector, to stabilise the global market.
