X Down For Users, App Suffers Massive Outage Globally
X (formerly known as Twitter), is currently down, with users across the globe reporting issues with both the app and website.
New Delhi: Elon Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter), is currently down, with users across the globe reporting issues with both the app and website.
According to DownDetector, a platform that tracks outages, over 17,871 complaints were registered at around 3:20 PM.
In response to the outage, several users turned to other social media platforms like Facebook and Reddit to verify the situation and confirm that the issue was widespread. Within a brief span of time, however, X began resuming its services.
Elon Musk Reacts
Elon Musk claimed that his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) was hit by a “massive cyberattack”, leading to repeated outages throughout the day. Millions of users worldwide reported log-in issues, failed page loads, and error messages, with many unable to access posts or refresh their feeds.
“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against ????. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing,” Musk wrote on X, responding to rumours about a possible attack on X.
