The state media of Iran has claimed that the United States was ‘forced’ to sign a memorandum to end the war with the Islamic Republic and its allies, portraying the agreement as a victory for Tehran and the so-called ‘Resistance Front’. Speaking on state broadcaster IRINN early Monday, a news reader said that a ‘permanent and immediate end’ of the conflict on all fronts of what Iran described as the US war against Iran and its allies has been announced.

Trump Announces Deal, Iran Claims Victory

US President Donald Trump on Monday announced what he described as an initial agreement to end the fighting, saying the United States would lift its naval blockade of Iran and that the deal would pave the way for the reopening of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

"Let the oil flow," Trump declared, while presenting the agreement as a breakthrough that could ease tensions and bring relief to global energy markets.

Iran, however, offered a sharply different interpretation. Iranian officials and state media framed the agreement as a result of Tehran's resistance, claiming Washington had been compelled to accept the terms after months of conflict. The framework agreement is designed to cover the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, and extends the current ceasefire for 60 days while both sides continue negotiations on unresolved issues.

Pakistani PM announced that the pact calls for the ‘immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon’.

Israel Rejects Withdrawal From Lebanon, Syria, And Gaza

Israel’s defense minister on Monday said that Israel won’t withdraw from land seized in Lebanon as the interim deal between Iran and the United States is pending.

Israel Katz’s remarks were the first official Israeli comments after the announcement of the interim deal. The two sides plan to meet Friday in Geneva to sign it, Pakistan has said.

Katz said Israel plans to stay “indefinitely” in lands it holds in Lebanon, as well as Syria and the Gaza Strip. Iran has tied the interim deal over the war to halting Israel’s attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon.
