First batch of Pfizer-BioΝTech vaccine arrive through Bulgarian border
Greece so far has imposed two nationwide lockdowns since the start of the pandemic. The first, in the spring, kept the country’s infection rates low.

The first 9,750 doses of Pfizer-BioΝTech COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Greece Friday through the Promahonas border station with Bulgaria.
Innoculations will start on 27 December and the first will be performed in reference hospitals in the capital, Athens.
Greece so far has imposed two nationwide lockdowns since the start of the pandemic. The first, in the spring, kept the country’s infection rates low.
Authorities ordered the second in response to a rapid post-summer rise in reported cases and as of Christmas Eve has seen 4,457 confirmed virus-related deaths.
