STORYLINE:
Wildfires continued in Rhodes wiping out a local vineyard on Tuesday with the heat wave forecast to continue in Greece until the end of the week.
Greece is enduring its worst heat wave in decades, with temperatures in parts of the country expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius (113 Fahrenheit).
Authorities said 81 wildfires had been reported around the country in 24 hours from late Monday to late Tuesday.
British broadcaster Sky News spoke to Jason Zafeirakopoulos in Rhodes after fires destroyed his family's vineyard.
"We're thankful that we still have our home and our buildings for our business," he said adding, "But we do struggle to figure out how we're going to recover."
Greek Development Minister Nikolaos Papathanasis told Sky that the wildfires are linked "directly to climate change."
One tourist trying to relax on the beech said the heat was "getting a little bit unbearable."
Extreme weather also has fueled deadly wildfires in Turkey and blazes in Italy, and across the Mediterranean region.
Emergency measures remain in place all week, including changes to working hours and services, and heightened fire monitoring.
