Italian FM: discussed Libya and Navalny with Lavrov

The Italian foreign minister Luigi Di Maio raised with his Russian counterpart Sergej Lavrov, the delicate issue of the murder attempt on Russian opposition leader Alexej Navalny.

Di Maio said he hopes that Russia will find the person accountable for this "disturbing event."

The two Foreign ministers also discussed the situation in Libya and Belarus as well as the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Di Maio pushed for a improved dialogue and relations between Russia, Italy and the European Union.
