North Korea's ruling party ended its congress Tuesday with an orchestral rendition of The Internationale, a classic left-wing anthem.
The country's leader Kim Jong Un and thousands of Workers' Party elites stood as the music played.
The Internationale has been used by socialist and communist parties around the world since the late 1800s.
During the congress, Kim vowed all-out efforts to bolster his country's nuclear deterrent.
He also called for reasserting greater state control over the economy, boosting agricultural production and prioritizing the development of chemicals and metal industries in a five-year plan.
