Photograph Of Khamenei's Body Shown To Trump, Netanyahu: Reports

Tehran: US President Donald Trump and Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu were reportedly shown photographs of Iran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's body as proof of his death. This comes after Israeli sources stated that the 86-year-old has been successfully assassinated in the US-Israel joint strikes on Iran.

As per reports, public mourning has been announced in parts of Iran.

Attack On Khamenei's Residence

Earlier in the day, Khamenei's residence was attacked by US-Israeli airstrikes. Khamenei's residence purportedly collapsed after the bombing. It is being reported that his body was found in the rubbles of his compound. A satellite image showed thick plume of black smoke emanating from the Iranian leader's compound following the attack.

‘Most Of Iran’s Top Leadership Gone': Trump

While speaking to the US media, Donald Trump stated that he “feels” that the report of Khamenei's death is “correct”. He noted that most of Iran's top leadership are gone. He said, “The people that make all the decision, all of them are gone.” Later, he wrote a post on his Truth Social account and confirmed that Khamenei is dead.

Several key Iranian figures, including Defence Minister Amir Nasirzadeh and Revolutionary Guards commander Mohammed Pakpour, have been killed in US-Israel strikes.

‘Khamenei Is Dead’: Trump

In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump said, “Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead.” Trump stated that Khamenei was unable to avoid US intelligence and their ”highly-sophisticated" tracking systems. He called the assassination of Khamenei a “justice for the people of Iran” and for all Americans and those people from countries, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his “gang of bloodthirsty thugs”.
