A monochromatic Christmas: UK royals William & Kate unveil their 2023 Christmas card

As the world gets into the merry spirits of Christmas, the British royal family shared family photographs for their official 2023 Christmas Card. This year, the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate used a black and white family photograph to get into the festive feels. Meanwhile, the news British monarch King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla shared a throwback picture for their Christmas card.

In the monochromatic picture, William and Kate are seen in all smiles as they stand next to their son Prince George and Prince Louis. Meanwhile, their only daughter Princess Charlotte was seen beaming as she sat with her legs crossed on a chair. “Our family Christmas card for 2023,” the Kensington Royal captioned the image on X, formally known as Twitter. The five royals were dressed casually in similar light-coloured shirts for the photograph. The picture will now feature in the official festive cards that will be sent to friends, family members and colleagues. The photograph was captured by Yorkshire-born photographer Josh Shinner.

The King and Queen share a throwback photograph

Meanwhile, the new British monarch King Charles III and Queen Camilla shared a throwback picture for the Christmas Card. The photograph of the King and Queen was taken in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace on Coronation Day. The photograph was ed by photographer Hugo Burnand. Senior royals regularly release images used for their official Christmas Card or just to commemorate any other festival. In the photograph captured by Burnand, the King was seen wearing a coronation tunic and the robe of estate, which was worn by King George VI in 1937.
