U.S. President Donald Trump spoke about "decoupling" the U.S. economy from China, during a news conference at the White House on Wednesday.
Trump said that the U.S. loses billions of dollars to China, and claimed that without that economic relationship, the U.S. wouldn't lose that money.
Trump also attempted to link China to his political rival, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
With the U.S. presidential election fast approaching, Trump said that China wanted Biden to win, and that if he does, China will "own" the United States.
