'He Looks Good': Varun Chakravarthy Gives Much-Needed Update on Abhishek Sharma Ahead of T20 WC Game vs Pakistan

India vs Pakistan: While speculations are rife over Abhishek Sharma's availability for India's big-ticket T20 World Cup game against Pakistan, Varun Chakravarthy has provided a much-needed update on his colleagues health. As per Chakravarthy, Abhishek is recovering well. Chakravarthy also revealed that Abhishek had a practice session as well.
‘He looks good’
"As far as I have spoken to him, he looks good. He did some practice today also. He told me he is on the way," said Chakravarthy, who picked up three wickets with the ball in the win over Namibia.
India beat Namibia by 93 runs to continue their winning momentum in the marquee event.

After the Namibia match at the Wankhede stadium, Abhishek was spotted near the boundary ropes. He did not look happy.
Multiple reports have also confirmed that Abhishek has lost considerable health due to the stomach illness. There is no doubt that his health will closely be monitored as he is a key member of the T20 set up. He is the one who sets the tone inside the powerplay.

India Register Huge Win
In terms of runs, the 93-run win is India's biggest in a T20 World Cup game. Sanju Samson was slotted in the XI in place of Abhishek. Samson did get off to an explosive start but failed to carry on and get a big one. In a little over 48 hours, the Indian team would take pn Pakistan in the big-ticket clash in Colombo. The expectation is that it will be a closely contested match. All eyes on Abhishek's health hours ahead of the game.
