Teen Sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Gets Maiden India A Call-up, To Feature In Sri Lanka ODI Tri-Series

Rajasthan Royals star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has received his maiden India A call-up as the BCCI has named the squad for the upcoming ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka. Calls have already been made to include Vaibhav in the India setup and this could be the very first step.

TIlak Varme Set To Captain India A Side

Tilak Varma will captain the India A team, which will be involved in a tri-series against Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A. The series will start on June 9 with a fixture between India A and Sri Lanka A, while the tri-series final will be held on June 21. Two red-ball matches will also be conducted between India and Sri Lanka, of which the schedule will be announced on a later date.

RR captain Riyan Parag will be Tilak's deputy for the tri-series. Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya has been rewarded for his consistent performances for the IPL franchise. His PBKS opening partner, Prabhsimran Singh, has also been picked up in the India A squad.

Vaibhav has been a pivotal part of the Rajasthan Royals setup since he burst onto the scene last season. He has maintained his steady stride through various levels and also helped India to lift the U19 World Cup title. In 11 matches this season, he has already piled up 440 runs and with RR emerging as a contender for the IPL 2026 playoff, he is expected to be involved in a broader way.
