New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) tomorrow, July 6. Ahead of the exam, messages on various social media platforms are getting viral that claim that FMGE papers have been leaked and they are being sold with answer keys.
A channel on Telegram, a messaging platform, named ‘NEET-PG Exam Questions 2024’ sent a message stating that those who pay the amount will get all 200 questions, 32 hours before the exam.
However, NBEMS chairman, Dr. Abhijat Seth refuted the claims and said that the papers are not leaked. He said that the question papers and answer key on sale are fake. He also assured that the exam will be conducted as scheduled, and there are no reports of the exam being compromised.
“The integrity of FMGE has not been compromised, and the exam will be conducted as scheduled. All reports on social media regarding the sale of the question paper are fake as the exam is conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode, which means that the question paper is not generated this early. Students should steer clear of such fake news being circulated on social media, and should not fall prey to any individual or agent promising good scores,” Dr Sheth told a news portal.
Meanwhile, cyber police in Kerala has registered a case against the alleged FMGE paper sale via social media platform. “On one hand, they (Centre) say it’s ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’, and now when their crime in paper leak cases has come in front of everyone... that incompetent right-wingers have been appointed to important positions in educational institutions, they are seeking help. At this time, they should seek help from the opposition and all states. However, first of all, they should make themselves fit. They should appoint compatible scholars in that position and not retired people,” says Congress leader Surendra Singh Rajput, on the Centre seeking help from states in ensuring the integrity of entrance tests.
NBEMS has also released the important instructions for candidates to prepare for the exam. Click here to read.
