New Delhi: YS Sharmila, founder president of YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) and sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, is reportedly set to merge her party with the Congress. As per sources, YS Sharmila is set to join the Congress in Delhi on January 4 or 5. Sources also informed that YS Sharmila is likely to get a post in the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

As per sources, talks with the Congress party have been going on for the past three to four months.

The merger of YS Sharmila’s party with the Congress comes ahead of the Andhra Pradesh state assembly elections. The development is expected to put her in a direct face-off against her brother CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
