Santhanam is an actor and producer who majorly works in Tamil industry. He was last seen in Tamil comedy film A1. According to reports, the actor has been approached to star in Tamil remake of recent Telugu hit film Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya. Read to know more.

Santhanam in Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya remake

Naveen Polishetty, who was recently seen in Chhichhore, played a rookie detective who goes on to crack the biggest case of his life in the film. His quirky portrayal of the character received appreciations from the audiences as well as from the critics. The main plot explored several crimes that are done with the help of unidentified dead bodies. The film stars mostly newcomer and fared well at the box office. Directed by Swaroop RSJ, it was co-written by Naveen, who went on to play the main role.

Ever since the movie released and received positive response from Telugu audiences, talks have been going on for its remake in Tamil. Santhanam is the leading contender to play Naveen’s role in the remake. However, any official announcement is yet to be made. Rumours has it that the Tamil un-titled remake will be held by Manoj Beedha, who made his directorial debut with Vanjagar Ulagam last year. The remaining cast and crew is said to be finalised in a few weeks.

In the meantime, Santhanam has a few projects in his kitty. According to reports, he recently wrapped up the shooting for his upcoming film Dagaalty, which is an action-comedy Tamil film. His future projects also include Dikkilona and Oodi Oodi Uzzhaikanum.

Hindi Remake?

Remake of a hit South Indian movie has become a famous formula in Bollywood. Recent release like Simmba and Kabir Singh, which did exceptionally well at the box office has only boosted it. Now, there are reports that Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya might be remade in Hindi too. A source close to the producer of the original film has confirmed that talks have been initiated for Hindi remake. The project may begin early in 2020. The source further added that Naveen Polishetty, who made a strong mark as Acid in Chhichhore, might reprise his role in the Hindi remake. An official announcement is expected to be made soon.
