Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is known for his pushing the boundaries for Hindi cinema. Kashyap had once said that he never much cared for credit as long as the work he has created is not tampered with. Apart from being a director, Kashyap has also tried his hands in acting as well. Here are some of the lesser-known works of Kashyap you might have missed it.

No Smoking (2007)

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film features John Abraham, Ayesha Takia, Paresh Rawal, and Ranvir Shorey. The film was based on Stephen King's short story Quitters, Inc. The film is also a commentary on men who are slaves on their own desires. It also has some surrealistic elements which are rarely found in Indian cinema.

Return of Hanuman (2007)

This is an animated film for children which deals with the issue of global warming. The film tells the adventure of lord Hanuman and has a very different storyline. The film turned out to be a spark in the field of animation and inspired many directors to make animation films.

That Girl in Yellow Boots (2010)

That Girl in Yellow Boots is a thriller film which features Kalki Koechlin and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead roles. The film showcases the story of a British woman (Kalki) and her challenges while finding her father in India. The film reflects the darker side of human nature.

Ugly (2013)

It is a Bollywood emotional thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film features Rahul Baht, Girish Kulkarni, Ronit Roy, Tejaswini Kolapure among others. It was also screened in the Director’s Fortnight section at Cannes Film Festival 2013. After Paanch and Black Friday, this is the third film in which Anurag portrays a relentless Bombay.

Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016)

The movie is another film of Anurag Kashyap with dark characters. It shows the character of Raman Raghav played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the corrupt cop Raghavan (Vicky Kaushal). The film does not leave any stone unturned and is a true blue Kashyap film in all measures.
