Bala: Ayushmann Khurrana says that the film addresses a serious issue

After back-to-back movies like Andhadhun and Article 15, actor Ayushmann Khurrana is all set for his upcoming movie Bala. The film narrates the story of a man dealing with premature balding and also stars Bhumi Pednekar. After delivering successful hits like Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar are geared up for their third film together. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films, the film Bala also features Yami Gautam in the lead role.

It is a serious issue: Ayushmann on premature balding

In a recent talk-show, Ayushmann Khurrana opened up about his character in the film. He said that the film shows two-three stages of baldness with character 'Bala'. He further added that baldness is one of the most relatable issues for him. He expressed that it's a serious issue and we are dealing with the topic in a light-hearted way.

 

 

Talking about his character Ayushmann said that 'Bala' is a character who suffers pre-mature baldness in his twenties. "He is more complex about his baldness because his friends and classmates have healthy hair. He used to have healthy hair in his teens and was the star of the class. He continued suddenly Bala suffers this issue and he is struck," he added.

Change in the release date of the film Bala

The teaser of the film declared the release date of the film as November 22. But the recent update of Karan Johar shows that release date has been advaned. Now, the film is slated to release on November 15, 2019. Later, Maddock Films also took to Twitter to make the announcement. 

Workfront of Ayushmann, Bhumi and Yami Gautam

Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Dream Girl, in which he shared screen space with Nushrat Bharucha. Written and helmed by Raaj Shandilya, the film also stars Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Bannerjee, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, and Raj Bhansali. On the other hand, Bhumi Pednekar was last seen in Sonchiriya with Sushant Singh Rajput and Manoj Bajpayee. Also, Yami was last seen with Vicky Kaushal in Uri: The Surgical Strike.
