Harivansh Rai Bachchan's timeless poems that will stay forever

Amitabh Bachchan is a megastar known for his journey in Bollywood. His father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a popular poet of the Nayi Kavita literary movement (romantic upsurge) of early 20th century Hindi literature. Harivansh Rai Bachchan also received the Padma Bhushan in 1976. A stamp was introduced with his picture in 2003.

He is best known for his work, Madhushala. It is a book consisting of 135 stanzas of four lines each. Madhushala, published in 1935, brought him instant fame. Amitabh Bachchan has recited verses from the book on various occasions including at Lincoln Center, New York City, etc.
