A picture from the film Bhagwaan Dada (1986) is going viral on X (formerly Twitter) in which Rajinikanth and Hrithik are enjoying their time on the beach. In the film, the War actor played the role of the Jailer actor's adopted son, who became a personal redemption and the inspiration to Bhagwan (Rajinikanth).

The film also starred Sridevi, Danny Denzongpa and Tina Ambani in pivotal roles. To note, Hrithik, in 2021, shared a picture from the film to congratulate Rajinikanth as he was conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke award.

In April 2021, Hrithik posted a picture on X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate his Bhagwaan Dada co-star, Rajinikanth, for being honoured with one of the prestigious awards. In the monochrome image, Hrithik can be seen hugging Rajinikanth. Congratulating the superstar, he wrote, "My Dearest @rajinikanth Sir... Your aura and persona complement the prestige of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Makes me so happy to have yet another reason to celebrate YOUR legend. Lots of love & respect, as I continue to look up to your greatness."

Reportedly, it was because of Hrithik's performance in Bhagwaan Dada that Rakesh Roshan realised that his son could be a potential actor.
