Kriti Sanon has one of the fittest bodies in Bollywood. For her role in Raabta as a warrior, Kriti had reportedly taken up training for MMA and sword fighting from a specialist overseas trainer named Edina while shooting for the movie in Belgium. The actor also enjoys dancing and tries to incorporate it in her workout. She admits to having learnt Kathak as a child but finds jazz, Bollywood and contemporary dance forms more fascinating.
In an interview with a leading publication, Kriti Sanon reveals that her height makes her look much thinner than she actually is. As a result, Kriti attempts to gain more weight rather than losing it. Her workout routines are structured around this requirement. To keep herself in shape, the actor indulges in pilates as well. She also does weight training three to four times a week.
The actor is said to indulge in squats, which is also the secret of her toned legs. According to experts, squats affect calves, thighs abs and obliques and as a result, the exercise helps in strengthening the lower body. Kriti also takes kickboxing training and ends her workout routine with planks.
Kriti Sanon adds that she follows a normal diet comprising mainly of dal, roti and rice. She usually has rice with chicken curry or dal with vegetables. Sometimes, when she feels full, she usually has a soup with salad or a sandwich. The actor claims that she keeps her dinner lighter than her lunch.
She believes in eating every two hours and carries nuts with her in case she misses out a meal due to her work schedule. Kriti does not seem to follow a particular diet plan but chooses healthy food options. She stays away from spicy or fried food. Kriti also likes eating fresh fruits. She takes green tea twice a day to detoxify herself as well.
Kriti considers Shilpa Shetty and Malaika Arora as her fitness idols in the Hindi film industry. She is also inspired by Katrina Kaif’s dedication towards fitness.
