Mika Singh Lashes Out At A Reporter Over His Pakistan Row, Watch Here

Mika Singh landed in hot waters after he performed in Pakistan. In a press conference held, Singh lashed out at a journalist. When the reporter asked him why he went to Pakistan for the event, he said, "I went there only when the government issued the visa.". After being infuriated with the constant questioning, Mika Singh said that nobody raises a voice when other artists perform.  Two months ago, singers Neha Kakkar and Atif Aslam performed in Pakistan. Why did not you say anything then? Before that, Sonu Nigam and Atif also performed,", he said.

MIKA SINGH CONTROVERSY: 

Midway this month, news surfaced that Mika Singh had performed in Karachi with his troupe to perform at the wedding ceremony of the influential billionaire's daughter who is said to be close to Musharraf. The singer reportedly performed on August 8 at the ceremony and his presence in the city came to light when some guests uploaded videos of his performance on social media.

This did not sit well with netizens and fans who revolted over the idea and called him a 'traitor' on social media. 

FWICE AND AICWA BAN MIKA SINGH 

After the social media uproar, FWICE and AICWA banned the artist. The former even went ahead to say that any artist who works with Mika Singh will be banned henceforth. This was said in reference to the six-day gig that Mika Singh was all set to embark on along with Salman Khan. He was all set to join the group from the Houston leg of the tour.

FILM BODIES REVOKE BAN

At a press conference Ashoke Pandit, President of Indian Film and Television Directors Association and Chief Advisor of Federation of Western India Cine Employees, shared that the associations have always taken a serious stand against artists who have flouted the norms as far as collaborations between Indian and Pakistan artists are concerned, especially after the Pulwama attack.

Mika clarified, "When I performed in Pakistan, my main motive was that I want to go to Nankana Sahib. All know that the routes have been opened now."  He added that he had plans to visit another Gurudwara. He then went on to apologise to the entire nation because of the act
