Shweta Bachchan Nanda joins Karisma Kapoor & cousins for 'family time'
Shweta Bachchan Nanda joined Karisma Kapoor and her cousins as they celebrated Ritu Nanda's birthday. Shweta-Karisma in one frame was a highlight of the event.

It wouldn’t be wrong to call the Kapoor family as the ‘First Family’ of the Hindi film industry. Starting off with Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor, who brought Hindi cinema global recognition, to the current generation right up till Taimur Ali Khan, many of them have achieved success and superstardom. Naturally, any gathering of the Kapoor family makes headlines. That was the case when some of the members of the family recently got together for a celebration. Karisma Kapoor coming in the same frame with Shweta Bachchan too did not go unnoticed.
The occasion for the Kapoor gathering was Ritu Nanda’s birthday. Ritu Nanda’s sister Rima Jain, sisters-in-law Neetu Kapoor and Babita Kapoor, nieces Karisma Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, nephew Armaan Jain were among those spotted. Rima Jain’ husband Manoj Jain and Riddhima’s daughter Samaira were also spotted. Ritu Nanda’s son Nikhil Nanda and his wife, Shweta Bachchan Nanda also joined in the celebrations. Sharing some of the pictures on Instagram, Karisma wrote, “Brothers and Sisters 🖤 #familylunch #chinesefood🍤🥠 #cousins #familytime #missingafew❤️"
Family explained
To explain the relations, Ritu Nanda and Rima Jain are daughters of Raj-Krishna Kapoor and their brothers are Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni are children of Rishi-Neetu Kapoor while Karisma-Kareena are daughters of Randhir-Babita Kapoor. Armaan Jain is the son of Rima Jain. Nikhil Nanda is son of Ritu Nanda and his wife is Shweta Bachchan Nanda. With ‘missing a few’, the main ones Karisma seemed to hint at were of course, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor.
The other point to note is that Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan were set to get married many years ago, but they had broken their engagement then. Abhishek then got married to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Karisma to Sanjay Kapur, who she has got divorced from a few years ago. That’s the reason Karisma coming together with Abhishek’s sister Shweta on one platform makes headlines. It was similar when Karisma had previously arrived to lend support to Shweta and daughter Navya Naveli’s fashion initiative two years ago.

Recently, Karisma was also seen enjoying Diwali’s kheer with sister Kareena. She also partied with the Arora sisters, Malaika and Amrita. Another Diwali gathering where she was joined by Armaan Jain’s brother Aadar Jain and his rumoured girlfriend Tara Sutaria had also made headlines.
