This is significant as Rajinikanth himself used to be a bus conductor. While his stage name has remained Rajinikanth ever since his acting career started, Shivaji Rao is his real name. He also used to be a bus conductor in Bengaluru before being spotted by director K Balachander. He was then featured in his 1975 debut film Apoorva Raagangal, which also featured Kamal Haasan.
