Bro Box Office Prediction: Will Pawan Kalyan's star power work?

Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej's Bro is slated to open on July 28. The film has created a buzz among fans, despite the muted promotions, as it marks the Power Star's first collaboration with 'Supreme Hero' Sai Dharam Tej. It has also garnered attention as it is an adaptation of the critically-acclaimed Tamil drama Vinodhaya Sitham, which was released directly on an OTT platform in 2021. So, will these factors help Bro put up good numbers at the box office? Let us find out.

How will Bro fare in Andhra Pradesh-Telangana market on day 1?

According to Ramesh Bala, Bro is likely to earn Rs 10 crore nett on the first day. “For the opening day, I think it’ll make around Rs 10 crore, which is a good figure for a movie of this size. In gross, the film might bring in Rs 16-17 crore," he told Republic Digital.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, however, said that the film is going collect a 'massive' Rs 20-25 crore in the said states. 

Will Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani affect Bro?

Bro is releasing alongside the Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt-led Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. This, however, may not be a cause of worry for the Pawan Kalyan film as per Manobala. “Most Telugu audiences give first priority to Telugu movies, hence Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani's impact at the box office will be very little even if it gets excellent word of mouth,” said the analyst.

Bala, however, had a different take on the impending clash. He said that Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani will likely do a business of Rs 2-3 crore (gross). He added that urban audiences are going to enjoy the film in cities like Chennai or Bangalore. Bala added that Bro will emerge as a winner nonetheless.

“In those particular states, Hyderabad is a hunting ground for Hindi movies, because Hyderabad was originally a Hindi-speaking city. They see Hindi movies in good numbers, so Hyderabad city and its suburbs are the main play for Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani. But that won’t affect the rest of the Southern states, as Bro will be largely successful,” he said.
