Kushi's director Shiva Nirvana recently opened up about working with Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in their upcoming rom-com movie. He mentioned that he prefers to work with actors who can perform without any inhibitions and fear to bring their character to life. Shiva said, "Vijay and Sam are literally fearless actors. They are the kind who give their all for the given role in the film. They have a killer instinct about acting."

The filmmaker claimed that Vijay and Sam would never compromise their work and he has known the Yashoda actress from Majili.
