Rajinikanth receives bonus cheque, BMW car post Jailer success
Rajinikanth, whose latest film Jailer has collected astounding figures at box office, has reportedly been given a 100 crore bonus cheque for the film's success.

Rajinikanth's latest film Jailer smashed several box-office records ever since its release three weeks ago. Ever since social media was abuzz with speculations about Rajinikanth’s total remuneration for the film. Now Sun Pictures, the producers of Jailer, have decided to give a special bonus to their film's leading actor.

Rajinikanth also received the latest BMW car
Producer Kalanithi Maran met Rajinikanth on Saturday and handed him over the said bonus cheque. Sun Pictures posted a picture of the meeting on their X (formerly Twitter) page, with the caption “Mr. Kalanithi Maran met Superstar Rajinikanth and handed over a cheque, celebrating the historic success of Jailer.” Additionally, the production house also shared a video where Maran could be seen showing Rajinikanth a few brand-new car models and then handing him a key to the latest BMW X7 Model.

The said pictures and caption have since spiked the speculations about the total remuneration earned by Rajinikanth for this film. As reported by film trade expert Manobala Vijayabalan, the bonus cheque amounts to 100 crores, in addition to a reportedly 110 crore remuneration Rajinikanth had already received.
Jailer to have an OTT release on September 7?
Jailer which was released on August 10, had a rock-solid performance at the box office for 3 weeks. The film is now slated for an OTT release on September 7. As of Thursday, August 31, Jailer's worldwide gross collections stood at 572.8 crores.
