Nana Patekar to star alongside Taapsee Pannu in Jayam Ravi's next film

Nana Patekar has worked in the Indian film industry for several years and was last seen in the 2018 Tamil film Kaala. Recently, it was announced that he will be returning to the big screen once more, this time working alongside another popular actor Taapsee Pannu.

Recent reports have revealed that Nana Patekar will feature in an important role in director Ahmed's next venture. The movie's tentative title is Jana Gana Mana and will be a spy thriller. The movie will likely release in three different languages which are Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The movie is reported to star famous Tamil actor Jayam Ravi in the lead role. Taapsee Pannu will also be playing a lead role in the film. Taapsee and Nana Patekar previously worked together in the film Tadka. However, the movie has still not been released due to production issues. So if Jana Gana Mana is indeed in the works, then this will be the first time the two actors will be seen on screen together. 

Nana Patekar was on a short break from the film industry after the sexual harassment allegations that were levied against him by fellow actor Tanushree Dutta. Nana Patekar even distanced himself from Akshay Kumar's Housefull 4, in which he was originally supposed to have had an important role. However, in June of this year, Nana Patekar was cleared of all charges by the police.

Taapsee Pannu has an upcoming movie Saand Ki Aankh. The film is set to release on October 25, 2019. It is a biopic that is based on the lives of the two oldest female sharpshooters, Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar. The movie has been directed by Tushar Hiranandani and was produced by Anurag Kashyap. Taapsee was also a cast member in the highly popular and successful film Mission Mangal, which was based on the lives of ISRO scientists who worked in the real Mars Orbiter Mission.

Nana Patekar's last film appearance was in Tamil action-drama film Kaala. The leading star of the film was the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. Other supporting cast members alongside Nana Patekar included Eswari Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Samuthirakani.
