2.0: Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer sees a big jump in box office collections as it mints Rs 24 crore

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's magnum opus '2.0' which released on Thursday has been really well received. In spite of the somewhat mixed responses, the box office collections for the first two days have been good. But now the third-day figures are in and we must say the film is really booming at the ticket window.

The third-day collections of the Hindi version of the Shankar directorial grossed at about Rs 24 crore, which is really stupendous. This has become the highest one-day collection for the film when compared to the first two days. If we only compare Saturday's figures with Friday's figures, then the film has witnessed a whopping thirty-five percent jump as it earned Rs 18 crore yesterday. 

With Saturday's great collections, the net figures for the Hindi version have reached an amazing Rs 62 crore. For a Hindi dubbed film, these numbers are truly phenomenal and with a Sunday still in store, it is expected to easily cross Rs 80 crore by the end of the week. The sci-fi flick has done really well in the North Indian market with many takers in Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar circuits. For a South Indian film, these collections and positive response are almost unheard of. Of course, this is not taking into account the figures from the South Indian states where the Rajinikanth starrer has been smashing records.
