Animal BO collection: Ranbir starrer records its lowest single-day haul amid Salaar, Dunki release

In a battle of cinematic titans at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor's latest venture, Animal, faces stiff competition from Tapsee Pannu's Dunki and Prabhas starrer Salaar. Amid the fierce competition, the film-recorded its lowest single day on its third Friday.

Animal box office collection day 22

As per the early estimates by Sacnilk, Animal has collected ₹1.15 crore nett on its third Friday, taking its total domestic box office collection to ₹532.77 crore. Globally, it earned ₹862.21 crore in three weeks. The film stands as Ranbir Kapoor's highest-grossing film to date. The movie's triumph extends beyond personal milestones, as it has surpassed the lifetime box office collections of iconic blockbusters like Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Yash starrer KGF 2 (Hindi version), and SS Rajamouli's magnum opus, Baahubali 2 (Hindi version).

Animal week-wise collection details

Animal registered a huge opening week 1 collection of ₹338.63 crore in all languages in India. In week 2, it minted ₹140.51 crore at the domestic box office, taking its box office collection to ₹479.14 crore in 14 days. In its third week, Animal minted 53.63 crore, taking its 21-day collection to ₹532.77 crore nett in India.

What do we know about Animal?

The pan-India movie also features Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra. Animal showcases a violent world set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir’s Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor. While it is running successfully in theatres, a section of critics and viewers have slammed “Animal”, calling it misogynistic and graphically violent.
