What is 'Plant for Kalam'?

Popular South Indian movie actor Vivekh started an initiative on the day of APJ Abdul Kalam's birthday. He named the initiative 'Plant for Kalam', where he asked popular Indian celebrities to propagate the message to plant a tree in memory of APJ Abdul Kalam. He shared a social media post that read, "Tomorrow, October 15th is the birthday of Bharat Ratna, Kalam sir. I request all Thalaivar, Thalapathy, Thala and other actors’ fans to plant saplings. I also plead them to make it a trend on social media (Translated from Tamil)."
