AR Rahman completed his 30 years in the music industry this month. The musician was debuted by filmmaker Mani Ratnam in 1992 film Roja. Since then, he has given several masterpieces to the industry and has also won two Oscars for his talent. To commemorate the occasion, PVR Cinemas is hosting the ARR Film Festival from August 4 to August 9 in Chennai and Coimbatore.

What movies will be screened at ARR Film Festival?
Rahman took to his Twitter handle on Thursday and shared the details of the ARR Film Festival. He wrote, "Celebrating 30 years of love! Grateful for the incredible love and support I've received from all of you, near and far. Your kindness and warmth have touched my heart throughout this journey. Here's to many more years of cherished memories together (sic)!" The poster shared by him mentioned that a collection of over 15 movies will be screened at the event.
The schedule of movies playing at the festival was revealed in yet another tweet. There will be screenings of more than 15 films with music by Rahman. Included on the list are Raavaanan, OK Kanmani, Bigil, PS 1, Maryan, One Heart, 24, Sivaji, VTV, Mersal, Pathu Thala, I, Vendhu Thanindhatu Kaadu, Jodha Akbar, Rockstar, Raanjhana, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, and Sarvam Thaala Mayam.

AR Rahman was named AS Dileep Kumar by his parents after he was born in Madras in 1967. He is a music composer, singer, songwriter, record producer, philanthropist, and much more. Till date, the artist has received several accolades for his outstanding contribution to the Indian music industry.
He has won six National Film Awards, a Golden Globe Award, BAFTA Award, two Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards, 15 Filmfare Awards, and more. He was also honoured with the third-highest civilian award, which is the Padman Bhushan back in 2010.
