What do we know about Jigra so far?

Jigra is directed by Monica O My Darling fame Vasan Bala and written by scriptwriter Debashish Irengbam. Irengbam has earlier been part of popular crime-based TV shows like Adaalat and CID. Alia Bhatt officially announced the movie in September last year on her social media page, getting nostalgic as she spoke about her connection with Dharma Productions.

The Darlings actress wrote in her announcement post, “From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward”.

Co-produced by Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt’s production house Eternal Sunshine, Jigra is slated to release on September 27, 2024.
