Jr NTR Says Devara Is 'Me And Me', Is He Underplaying Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor's Roles?

Devara: The Telugu film is all set to hit the big screens on September 27. The movie is headlined by Jr NTR and also features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles, in the film marking their debut in Tollywood. In a special pre-release event, the RRR star has claimed that the film is entirely him, which has raised some eyebrows.

In a pre-release interview for Devara, Jr NTR touched upon subjects of his precious films and shared what fans should expect from the actioner. When talking RRR, the actor admitted that the SS Rajamouli directorial was a double whammy with him and Ram Charan. He called Devara a similar film but shared that it has two of him.

In Devara, Jr NTR essays a double role in the film. The actor, while talking to Gulte said, “It’s me and me.” While social media users think that he is downplaying Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor 's role in the film, the actor was actually referring to his own double role. The actor shared, “You’ve got Devara the father, and you’ve got Varada the son. It is…I mean I really don’t want to give a lot of spoilers. It’s just two days away from releasing but it is rollercoaster journey of a father and son.”

Jr NTR Receives Standing Ovation At Beyond Fest 2024 in Los Angeles 

Telugu star NTR Jr., who is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie Devara: Part 1 received an overwhelming reception at Beyond Fest 2024 in Los Angeles. As the actor took the stage, the crowd erupted into applause and cheers. The actor also received a standing ovation reflecting the warmth and admiration of his fanbase. With the success of RRR behind him, NTR Jr., is gearing up for Devara: Part. The film's presales in the USA are unprecedented, and the international anticipation surrounding it is historic.

Following the screening of the historical fiction RRR, the festival will host the world premiere of Devara: Part 1 on September 26, 2024, at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles. The screening sold out in just nine minutes, with 516 seats claimed, 90% of which were purchased by Western audiences. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 also stars Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor marking their debut in Telugu cinema. and is set to release worldwide on September 27, 2024.
