Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is currently earning massive praise for his recent performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The actor is gaining appreciation after decades in showbiz but do you know trade analyst blames his choice of films for the same?

1. Karan Arjun

The movie was originally supposed to cast Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol but Bobby wasn’t confident about the project before making his debut with Barsaat. The movie eventually starred Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan and emerged as a sweeper hit in 1995.

2. Jab We Met

Not Shahid Kapoor but Bobby Deol was the first choice of Imtiaz Ali for this movie. The filmmaker claimed that Deol cannot give his dates for a really long time making Imtiaz recast the character of Aditya.

3. Yuva

Bobby Deol rejected this Mani Ratnam movie because he wasn’t convinced by the idea of a three-hero film. Yuva eventually starred Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi.

4. Highway

This was Bobby’s other chance to work with Imtiaz Ali but he missed it again. The actor later said that he would never watch the filmmakers’ movie until he got to work in it.

5. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

The role that Aditya Roy Kapur eventually played was first offered to Bobby but he again missed it because his dates were allotted to Yamla Pagla Deewana 2.

6. Pyar Ishq Aur Mohabbat

Bobby Deol missed out on this movie for unknown reasons and the role eventually went to Arjun Rampal.

7. Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi

The movie was first offered to Bobby Deol and Vidya Balan but both of them rejected it and it eventually fell to the fate of Sonu Sood and Isha Koppikar.
