'Mardaani 2': A look at music composer Rachita Arora’s previous works

Mardaani 2 starring Rani Mukerji in the lead role is one of the most anticipated films of this year. Apart from the gripping storyline, the music album of the film is something that fans have high hopes. The music of the film is composed by renowned music director Rachita Arora who has had a profound contribution in the Bollywood music industry. Rachita Arora is best known for providing music in the Anurag Kashyap directorial Mukkabaaz. The composer is from Delhi and is also trained in Hindustani classical music. Rachita started her career by producing music for theatre plays in Delhi and then soon collaborated with Bollywood actor and director Makarand Deshpande whom she met at the Prithvi theatre.

Rachita Arora made her Bollywood debut with Newton

Rachita made her Bollywood debut with Newton which starred Rajkummar Rao in the titular role. She also curated music for the documentary by an esteemed channel which was titled as, Mumbai Paani Mafia. Soon Rachita went on to compose music for films like Judgementall Hai Kya and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan. She has also provided music for web shows like Sacred Games and Karenjit Kaur- The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone. Apart from Mardaani 2, Rachita Arora will also be providing music for the film, Sadak 2 which will star Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.

All about Mardaani 2

Talking about Mardaani 2, Rani Mukerji will be reprising her role as the feisty cop, Shivani Shivaji Roy. The makers of the film had recently released the first look and the teaser of the film. The movie was helmed by Gopi Puthran. The original film saw Rani Mukerji battling a human trafficking racket. The teaser of the film Mardaani 2 saw Rani perform some high octane action sequences which have further raised the anticipation of the film. The movie is produced by Yash Raj Films. Mardaani 2 will be releasing on December 13, 2019.
