Katrina Kaif, who will be soon seen sharing the screen space with Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi, recently confessed having googled Vijay Sethupathi's name when filmmaker Sriram Raghavan first told her about his plans of casting the Vikram Vedha actor.
Katrina googled Sethupathi, mistook latter's film name
Katrina, who is currently promoting her upcoming film with director Sriram Raghavan and co-star Vijay Sethupathi, recently in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, revealed having googling Sethupathi as soon as Raghavan mentioned his name.
She said, "I had actually first really noticed in the film class of 83… Is it class of 83 or 83?" The actress mistook Vijay's film 96 with Trisha to the Class of 83. Later after Vijay and Sriram corrected the actress, Katrina continued, "96, sorry. That’s a few years off but… I had actually loved that film 96. It had scenes that even now I remember in my head. The moments between him and Trisha, very unique and very tender, they really stayed with me. So I was familiar with him from that movie.”
She continued, "“I just googled him straight away, just to refresh my memory. And the first image that came up on Instagram was this very distinguished salt and pepper kind of silver hair, which, for me, I loved,”
People think the casting of Katrina and Vijay is unusual
Addressing the topic of people finding her pairing with Vijay Sethupathi very unusual, the actress said, "I was excited about it. To me, it feels like two actors coming together for a very unusual story."
